Styling expert.

The Golf moulds its own design class, and has become more striking, sportier and more streamlined. Yet it still succeeds in staying true to itself.

All new, but unmistakably Golf: with its modern proportions and lower height, the body reflects intense sportiness and power within its length of 4.25 m.

On the outside: timeless elegance.

The Golf remains true to itself in its seventh generation. The characteristic silhouette with the distinctive C-pillar is for us a given. The elongated wheelbase, shorter overhangs and precise lines add up to a dynamic look that is both new and timelessly elegant. Its increased width and the lower vehicle height give it a more powerful appearance.

Even more space for comfort, for quality and for functionality.

Inside: more space for comfort.

Moving the front axle forward has created even more space for the passengers, offering noticeably greater legroom in the rear. The redesigned centre console is now angled towards the driver and therefore easy to operate. With its high-class materials and switches with white backlighting, the roomy interior feels pleasant to the touch and is a treat to look at. A host of design details have also been included to set new standards for comfort, such as the ergonomic seats and the enlarged boot.

Panoramic sliding/tilting sunroof

A panoramic view at the push of a button. The large sliding sunroof bathes the interior in light and provides a welcome source of refreshment.

Upwards: the sky’s the limit.

Just press a button and the sun appears! The optional panoramic sliding/tilting sunroof affords an unobstructed view upwards as well as supplying a pleasant flow of air on hot summer days. And if you don’t wish to be completely open to the elements but still want to let in some fresh air, it can be raised by up to three centimetres with the electric tilting function.

Xenon headlights

Xenon headlights stand out for their light spectrum similar to daylight and exceptional range. Bends are lit up even more effectively as a result.

Forwards: anticipatory.

Xenon headlights produce a light spectrum similar to that of daylight, resulting in superior visibility. Two equipment packages are available for the Golf, which offer a choice of basic daytime running lights or an energy-saving LED version. The standard headlight range control adjusts the range of the beams to compensate for different vehicle loads. Meanwhile, the integrated cornering light means that obstacles in bends can be quickly spotted. A headlight washer system with warning light for the washer fluid level also helps to provide a perfectly clear view of what’s ahead.
